The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey team fell to the No. 3 Minnesota Gophers for the fourth and final time this regular season by the score of 4-3.
The Bulldogs outshot the Gophers 27-24, including two powerplay goals but were chasing the game for the full 60 minutes.
This marks only the third time this season that UMD has given up more than three goals in a game.
The team now hits the road next weekend to Mankato for a WCHA series on Feb. 3-4, with puck drop Friday at 3:00 p.m.
