Northwestern football advances to second round of WIAA Playoffs
It’s playoff time for select schools in Wisconsin, one of those including the Northwestern Tigers, who played host to and defeated Elk Mound in round one, 44-12.
Seven seed Elk Mound finished their season at below at 4-5, while the two seeded Tigers had their eyes on the prize, and would be too much to handle.
Cooper Lawton opened the scoring when took a handoff into the endzone. The Tigers would then go for two and get the points.
The Tigers were also getting it done on defense too, as Wyatt Zifko was a big part of the reason the defnesive unit was so sturdy.
Quarterback Ethan Harms had a touchdown of his own as well.

The Northwestern Tigers are moving onto the second round of the WIAA Playoffs.
Northwestern will host Stanley-Boyd next Friday.
