Northwestern football sees season come to end in State semifinals
Northwestern football saw their best season since 2009 come to an end on Friday night in the WIAA Division 5 State semifinals, falling to Wrightstown 47-16.
The Tigers wouldn’t get on the board until they were down 22-0, when Bryce Ronchi found the endzone. The Tigers would convert the two point conversion, but quickly give up another touchdown. Down 28-8, Cooper Lawton scored for the Tigers, narrowing the lead. However, the Tiger defense couldn’t stop Wrightstown.
The Tigers State semifinal appearance is the furthest the team has made it into the postseason since their 2009 season.
Northwestern finishes their season with a 10-3 record.
