Northwestern wins out in offensive onslaught advancing to round 3 of playoffs
Northwestern football wins out in an offensive onslaught advancing to round 3 of the playoffs.
In a game where neither defense showed up, it was 2 seeded Northwestern with a big win over 3 seeded Stanley-Boyd, 58-48.
Scoring was started early, as Boden Teal took a handoff up the gut for the Northwestern Tigers. This would evidently set the tone of the high scoring game, as on the ensuing kickoff, Stanley-Boyd’s Madden Mahr took the ball all the way back for a touchdown.
The teams truly went back and forth until Northwestern was able to break the game open in the 4th quarter.
Northwestern advances to the third round of the playoffs, where they’ll face St. Croix Falls next Friday.
