Nottingham Panthers to retire Adam Johnson's jersey
According to the Nottingham Panthers twitter page, the team is set to retire UMD alum and Hibbing Native Adam Johnson’s jersey.
Johnson died after catching a skate blade to the neck in October while playing for the Panthers of the Elite Ice Hockey League.
The jersey retirement ceremony will take place with Johnson’s family in attendance on Dec. 14 before the Panthers play the Fife Flyers.
Johnson’s jersey No. 47 will be the seventh retired by the club.
