On Thursday, Duluth Denfeld boys’ basketball pulled out a narrow win over Hibbing, and Grand Rapids would deal a loss to Cloquet.

In Duluth, 16-7 Hibbing traveled to 15-8 Duluth Denfeld. The game would stay tight through the first half, before Denfeld’s defense would find a way to hold off Hibbing’s offense in the last minutes of regulation play, holding their attempts to take the lead and winning with a 63-60 final score. Denfeld’s Marnaries Ferguson would lead the Hunters with 26 points, followed by Lee Brooks with 14 points, and Carter Brown with 9 points.

In Cloquet, the score would remain tight through the end of the first half, with both teams fighting for their chance at a lead. But Grand Rapids would find their footing against a tough Lumberjack’s defense, ending the game with the 63-54 win.
