On Monday night, Esko girl’s basketball took to the road to beat Superior 63-53, while Cloquet handled Duluth Denfeld 82-26.

Esko had to withstand a furious run by Superior at the end of the first quarter, but ultimately used their combination of offensive firepower and stout defense to stop the Spartans.

Esko is back in action on Thursday against Pequot Lakes while Superior looks to bounce back against Hibbing on Friday.

In Cloquet, the Lumberjacks took it to Duluth Denfeld, as Cloquet’s offensive attack came out on fire, starting the game off on a 27-4 run.

Cloquet goes on to battle Coon Rapids on Thursday while Denfeld looks to bounce back against Hinckley-Finlayson on Tuesday.
