Prep basketball: Two Harbors girl’s topple Denfeld, Superior girl’s and Duluth Marshall boy’s stage comebacks
Monday night proved to be an excellent night of basketball, as multiple Northland teams faced off against each other.
First, the Two Harbors girl’s basketball team beat Duluth Denfeld 57-40.
Two Harbors got out to an early lead and never quite let the Hunters get back into the swing of the game.
Two Harbors next faces Carlton/Wrenshall on Thursday while Denfeld looks to rebound against Big Lake on Saturday.
Another girl’s game in the area was Superior taking on Northwestern, where Superior mounted a comeback to beat Northwestern, 49-44.
Superior has now won two in a row and will face Grand Rapids on Thursday, while Northwestern hosts Cumberland on Thursday.
On the boy’s side, Duluth Marshall topped Hibbing, 69-56 after they too had a comeback in the first half.
The Hilltoppers shift their attention towards International Falls on Friday while Hibbing looks for their third win of the year against Moose Lake/Willow River on Friday.
