On Friday night, Duluth Marshall girl’s basketball defeated Hinckley-Finlayson 96-44 and Hermantown beat Mesabi East, 53-44.

The Hilltoppers were out to an incredibly fast start, scoring seconds into the game off the opening tip. From that point on, Duluth Marshall had their foot on the gas, putting up at least 89 points for the 5th time this season.

The Hilltoppers look to build a win streak when they play Becker on Friday.

Over in Hermantown, the Hawks snapped their five game losing skid by beating an impressive Mesabi East team.

The Hawks will turn to Bloomington Kennedy on Tuesday in hopes of winning a second straight game, while Mesabi East will look to bounce back against Cloquet on Wednesday.
