Prep girl’s basketball: Mountain Iron-Buhl, Cromwell-Wright advance to Section 7A championship
On Wednesday night, both #1 seeds in the Section 7A tournament advanced to the championship game, as Cromwell-Wright narrowly defeated Ely 57-51, and Mountain Iron-Buhl beat South Ridge 81-36.
On Wednesday night, both #1 seeds in the Section 7A tournament advanced to the championship game, as Cromwell-Wright narrowly defeated Ely 57-51, and Mountain Iron-Buhl beat South Ridge 81-36.
Both games, which took place at Romano Gymnasium, started off in the same way, with both games going back and forth for longer than the higher seeds would have liked.
For Cromwell-Wright, they were able to separate themselves just enough from Ely to take the game in convincing fashion, while MIB was dominant just minutes into the contest despite some fight from South Ridge.
Cromwell-Wright and MIB battle it out for the Section 7A championship on Friday at 6 p.m.
