Prep hockey: Mirage cruise past Superior, Duluth Marshall boy’s down North Shore
In two high scoring affairs, the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage scored nine goals in a 9-5 win over Superior while the Duluth Marshall boy’s beat North Store 7-3.
The Mirage have been unstoppable as of late, winning three games in the last six days and outscoring opponents 19-8.
They’ll look to extend their win streak to four games against Brainerd/Little Falls on Thursday, while Superior will look to regroup against Central Wisconsin on Saturday.
At Duluth Marshall, the Hilltoppers kept their foot on the gas offensively all game, as they scored three goals in the first period, with two coming from Benson Peterson and the third from Mason Musel.
In the second and third, the Hilltoppers scores two goals each, as Lucas Garatti, Henry Drevnick, Landon Hernseman, and Bennett Scissons found the back of the net.
The Hilltoppers face Rock Ridge on Tuesday night.
