Prep Soccer: CEC & Superior boys, Duluth Marshall girls emerge victorious

In prep soccer on Tuesday the Cloquet/Esko/Carlton (CEC) and Superior boys, and Duluth Marshall girls, earned big wins.
The CEC boys shut out Duluth Denfeld 4-0 to earn their 10th straight win, and third straight shutout, to improve to 11-2 overall. Elijah Aultman scored two goals, with Collin Young and Hudson Snesrud each adding one. They’re back in action Saturday facing Hermantown in Esko. Denfeld keeper Camden Rask stood on his head performing multiple stellar saves, despite the ultimate loss. The Hunters (2-7-2) next visit Proctor Thursday night.
In Superior the Spartan boys rolled past Grand Rapids 6-1. Superior improves to 5-3-3 remaining undefeated at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex. They next host Hayward Thursday, while Grand Rapids (5-3-4) hosts Princeton Saturday.
In girls action the Duluth Marshall girls defeated Hermantown 3-1. Mariah Hernesman, Nina Thorson, and Sami Grosnick scored for the Hilltoppers. Duluth Marshall (7-2-3) next hosts Cloquet/Carlton Thursday, while Hermantown (3-5-4) next visits Esko Thursday.
