Prep soccer: Duluth Marshall boys, Duluth East and Hermantown girls advance to semifinals
On Tuesday, Duluth Marshall boys soccer took down Proctor 11-1, Duluth East girls beat Coon Rapids 8-1 and Hermantown shut out Hibbing.
Duluth Marshall had a balanced offensive attack in both halves, scoring six goals in the first half and five in the second.
The Hilltoppers take on PACT Charter School on Thursday at 7 p.m.
At Duluth East, the Greyhounds took down Coon Rapids 8-1 behind a strong performance by Lilly Kuettel and Darby Friday, who scored three and two goals respectively.
Anna Stellmaker, Kayleigh Wilmot and Caroline Gore all pitched in with a goal of their own.
The Greyhounds take on Blaine on Thursday.
In Hermantown, the Hawks soared to a shutout 4-0 win over Hibbing thanks to a hat trick by Kaija Markovich and another goal by Claire Niksich.
The Hawks only allowed two shots on net the entire game.
Hermantown advances to take on Grand Rapids on Thursday.
