Before all the storms on Thursday, 2023 section 7A runner up Duluth Marshall battled reigning section 7A champion Esko, both teams looked to take home the rematch win. The Hilltoppers would exact their revenge with a 3-2 win.

The Hilltoppers entered with a current record of 4-1-2, and Esko with a record of 7-1.

Esko pushed on offense with Liberty Clifford booting up to Britta Koski, but Marshall’s Addi Bastien meets her for the save. Later Hilltoppers Giulia Mcgiffert gets the free kick to the left corner and just beats Esko’s keepers’ gloves. Hilltoppers look for another with Nina Thorson out front, she cut right but is caught up and the ball goes wide. Esko’s Kaitlyn McConnell centers to Abigail Naud who finished the job.

Duluth Marshall take home the win 3-2.

Duluth Marshall will return on Saturday September 21st at 1PM against Lakes International Language Academy.

Esko will take to the road on Saturday September 21st at 3PM against Providence Academy.
