Thursday both the Rock Ridge and Proctor softball teams picked up wins at Braun Park in Cloquet to advance to their respective section semifinals.

In Section 7AAA, top-seeded Rock Ridge shut out fourth seeded Cloquet 2-0. Chance Colbert drove in Brynn Rozinka for the Wolverines’ second run in the fifth inning. Rock Ridge (18-2) advances to face No. 6 North Branch in the semifinals Tuesday, May 28. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. at Chisago Lakes High School.

In Section 7AA, top-seeded Proctor defeated No. 4 Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin 7-1. The Rails (18-4) advances to face No. 2 Rush City in the semifinals Tuesday, May 28. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Grand Rapids High School.
