Friday marked week seven for WDIO’s Prep Sports Extra. Every week, WDIO Sports will have the best highlights and all the scores from our local high school football games during Prep Sports Extra at 10:30 p.m.
A turnover heavy game helped Esko to victory over Hermantown as they improved to 7-0 on the season. Duluth Denfeld downed Rock Ridge improving to 6-1 for the first time in over a decade. Two Harbors stayed perfect at home downing Pine City. Thursday Mountain Iron-Buhl also protected their perfect 7-0 record handing Cherry their first loss.
In Wisconsin, Northwestern closed out their regular season 7-1 defeating Bloomer, while Superior fell to Chippewa Falls.
