After back-to-back wins and then a loss at home, the Proctor baseball team is looking to finish their season in the winning column.
The Rails welcomed the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks to town for a Thursday afternoon match on the diamond. Rails scored six unanswered runs through the first four innings of the ball game. In the sixth inning, the Thunderhawks looked to make some noise and get on base with a big hit to centerfield by Dominic Broberg, but it wasn’t enough as Rails’ centerfielder Blake Imhoff made a smooth diving catch play to end the inning.
Proctor went on to win in a shutout 6-0. They will hit the diamond again on Monday, May 22nd, on the road against Hermantown. The first pitch is set for 4:30 pm.
