Proctor/Hermantown girls hockey rallies past Cloquet-Esko-Carlton in OT
The Proctor/Hermantown girls hockey team rallied to defeat Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (CEC) 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night at the St. Luke’s Sports & Event Center.
Cloquet-Esko-Carlton scored first on an Emma Parks goal halfway through the first period. The Mirage would tie it up 1-1 in the second off a Jane Eckstrom short handed goal. The third period would be scoreless, then just one minute into OT Mya Gunderson scored the game winning goal for Proctor/Hermantown, earning the 2-1 win.
In net, Neelah McLeod made 16 saves for the Mirage, while Izabella Strang put up a mega 55 save performance for CEC.
