Purple Insider’s Matthew Coller shares potential Vikings QB Draft pick
The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off this Thursday. The Packers currently own 11 picks, with one in the first round at 25th, while the Vikings have nine picks with two in the first round at 11th and 23rd.
For Minnesota, losing franchise quarterback Kirk Cousins to the Falcons an early QB pick could be the way to go, especially if they trade up in the first round.
“In the case that they were to trade up and give up multiple first round draft picks, it would probably be for Drake Maye from North Carolina. He just has Kevin O’Connell written all over him. He’s 6’4”, he’s a really good athlete, throws the football beautifully and has a little bit of moxie,” Matthew Coller, the host of the Purple Insider podcast, told WDIO’s Alicia Tipcke.
The NFL Draft takes place in Detroit and begins Thursday at 7 p.m. CT. Rounds two and three are Friday, with rounds four through seven are on Saturday.
