Reece Hunt scores all four goals lifting No. 8 UMD women’s hockey past St. Thomas
On Friday Reece Hunt scored all four of the eighth ranked University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey team’s goals lifting them to a 4-1 victory at St. Thomas University.
Three of Hunt’s goals were assisted by Clara Van Wieren, and three were assisted by Olivia Wallin.
Hunt scored once in the first period, then three times in the second period which would end 4-1. Her hat-trick was her second of the season. The last Bulldog to score four goals in a game was Mannon McMahon October 6 against Long Island University.
UMD netminder Hailey MacLeod registered 23 saves against St. Thomas.
The Bulldogs improve to 16-11-2 earning their third straight win. Their series finale with the Tommies is Saturday at 6 p.m. in St. Paul.
