Rock Ridge girl’s basketball powers past Cloquet to claim Section 7AAA championship
In what was an exhilarating environment at Denfeld High School, the Rock Ridge girl’s basketball team took down Cloquet to win the Section 7AAA championship, 58-41.
In what was just a few point difference at halftime was erased in the second half by the Wolverines, as the trio of Lamppa sisters (Emma, Maija, and Lexi) and the rest of Rock Ridge turned up the heat and put the pressure on Cloquet to score.
The Rock Ridge defense was one that helped their offensive attack all season, and that was no different on Thursday night.
Rock Ridge awaits their opponent in the state tournament.
