Saints celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day, drop close match to Augsburg

The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) women’s basketball team fell to Augsburg 56-44 Wednesday during their home game celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
The Saints offered free admission to female athletes and their families, and youth had the chance to win a basketball autographed by Utah’s Pac-12 Rookie of the Year, Duluth Marshall alum, Gianna Kneepkens.
Lexi Imdieke led the Saints Wednesday with nine points.
Next, CSS (1-17) will visit Saint Mary’s University Saturday at 3 p.m.
