Sean McQuaid & Riley Pathman break Guinness World Record for fastest marathon pushing a wheelchair

We highlight the top finishers in this weekends Grandma’s Marathon, but there is one running duo that broke a Guinness World Record on Saturday morning.
Sean McQuaid as the runner & Riley Pathman as the rider both set out to record the fastest marathon pushing a wheelchair.
On Saturday thy did just that beating the record of 2 hours and 40 minutes with a time of 2:35.26.
“What is your why? When you know your mission statement in your head and what you want to achieve that goes beyond the run. Once that goal and settles in then, of course, that’s what drives you on. So for me Riley is the why and we will be back,” said McQuaid post race.
Riley has cerebral palsy, however that hasn’t stopped him as Grandma’s was his 30th marathon. Using the slogan ‘The Push for Life’, who with the help of people like Sean is showing that running is for everyone.
