Superior recently closed out their regular season with a perfect 22-0 record, and now the softball team will looked to go the distance putting their unbeaten slate to the test in the playoffs. On Wednesday night, top-seeded Spartans hosted #9 River Falls in the W-I-A-A regional finals.
In the bottom of the third, Spartans lead 2-0 until Ari Robillard blasts a ball to the fences, but River Falls makes the catch, and one runner scored making it a 3-0 lead. The Spartans went on to win big in an 11-0 shutout. They advance to host D.C. Everest in round one of sectionals on Tuesday.
