Saturday wasn’t the day for the Superior baseball team, as they fell in their season opening doubleheader against Menomonie, 9-7 in game one and 10-5 in game two.

Superior was able to plate seven runs in game one, however the hole they dug themselves into after allowing a third inning grand slam would prove to be too much to overcome.

In game two, it was more of the same, as Menomonie’s offense proved to be too much to keep up with
