Superior boy’s basketball used a strong second half to beat Moose Lake-Willow River.
After just a one point difference in the first half, the Superior boy’s basketball team used a 45 point second half to power past Moose Lake-Willow River, 82-65.
The game was a highly intense battle in the first half, as the two teams traded baskets on seemingly every trip down the court, but Superior would kick things into second gear in the second half, as they had a trio of double digit scorers.
For the Spartans, Calvin Anderson had 19 points, while Brandon Aker and Tresean Sanigar followed with 16 and 14 respectively.
For the Rebels, Nolan Nelson led the way with 19 points, along with Adam Neumann adding 18 of his own.
The Rebels turn to East Central on Monday while Superior faces Duluth Marshall on Tuesday.
