Superior boy’s & girl’s hockey advance to sectional finals

Both the Superior boy’s and girl’s hockey teams picked up Sectional Semifinal wins Tuesday to advance to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Sectional Finals.

The top-seeded Superior girls shut out the fourth seeded Marshfield Co-op (Wisconsin Valley Union) 8-0 in Superior. They’ll face third seeded Hayward Co-op, who downed D.C. Everest 4-2, for the Sectional 1 title Friday at 7 p.m. in Mosinee.

The third seeded Superior boys upset second seeded Stevens Point 4-2 to advance to the Division 1 Section 1 championship game. They’ll battle fourth seeded Hudson Friday at 7 p.m. in Chippewa.
