Superior boys soccer rolls past Rice Lake in season opener

On Tuesday the Superior boys soccer team opened their 2023 season at home hosting Rice Lake.
Ben Staupe scored Superior’s first goal of the season in the 16th minute to give them a 1-0 lead at halftime. The goal gates opened in the second half and the Spartans would go on to defeat the Warriors 3-1.
Now 1-0 Superior will visit Hibbing/Chisholm for their road opener Thursday at 7 p.m. Rice Lake (0-1) will visit Lakeland on Thursday.
