Superior City FC falls at home, Superior City FC Women’s nabs first win of season
On Saturday, Superior City FC fell to Vlora FC 5-1, while Superior City FC Women’s defeated Tonka FC, 2-1.
For Superior City FC, they were unable to get their offense going for the majority of the game, and the pressure on them defensively in conjunction with Vlora’s strong attack was stifling.
Marcus Carvahlo net the lone goal for Superior City FC.
For Superior City FC Women’s, their offense attack was on point, keeping Tonka FC’s goaltender on her toes the entire game.
Towards the end of the first half, Anna Tobias was able to knock a ball loose from Tonka FC’s goaltender to break the 0-0 tie and take a 1-0 advantage.
Later, Alyssa Doyle found the back of the net just three minutes after the half, which would end up being just enough.
Superior City FC turns to face Granite City FC on June 2nd while Superior City FC Women’s will try to string together a second win against MN Aurora 2 on June 1st.
