Superior hires Rob Scott as next head football coach
Rob Scott is slated to be the next Superior High School football head coach.
While the position may be new, Scott isn’t new to Superior at all; in fact, he’s a lifelong Spartan.
From 2006-2021, Scott was a Superior teacher and a Spartan football coach.
Scott was the assistant head coach under Bob DeMeyer and defensive coordinator in his final eight seasons with the program.
After his departure in 2021, Scott went over to Eau Claire Memorial where he was the head coach.
On top of it all, Scott is also a UWS alum, and he’s just happy to be coming back to a place he calls home.
“It was a huge part of my life and I didn’t anticipate having the opportunity to go back or this door being open,” said Scott. “Fortunately, we were able the program up to being on the doorstep of Camp Randall, the regular season before I left. The tradition, the way the community rallies around Spartan football, the relationships and alumni base, I think with its tradition and stuff, it could be one of the top programs in the state.”
The Spartans begin practice in August, and play their first game on August 23rd.
