Superior Reds close out season as Regional runners-up

The Superior Reds fell to Eau Claire 4-2 in their American Legion baseball regional final Wednesday at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Bo Teal scored two runs off of fielding errors by Eau Claire at third plate. His first came off a first inning hit by Austin Lahti to give the Reds a 1-0 lead. Eau Claire then tied it up in the fourth. Superior got back in front when Dawson Ahlborg drove in Teal for a 2-1 lead.

Eau Claire tied the game 2-2 after a bases loaded walk. Then in the sixth Leo Lausher scored two runners, to eventually earn the 4-2 win.

Eau Claire advances to the state tournament, while Superior’s season comes to an end.
