Superior softball shutouts New Richmond; Esko toppled Duluth Marshall

The Spartans of Superior High School welcomed the Tigers of New Richmond to NBC Sports Complex on Friday afternoon.
The Spartans shut out the Tigers, winning 5-0, scoring all their runs throughout six and a half innings. Senior Emma Raye scored two of her team’s five runs.
Over in Duluth at Duluth Marshall, the Hilltoppers hit the diamond hosting Esko, as this was the opening game of the season for both teams. In the second inning, Esko was leading 11-2 and continued keeping their bats hot as they went on to win the game, 20-4.
