Superior, Solon Springs racing to Saturday’s State Cross Country Championship
Saturday will be a big day for runners from Wisconsin, as the State Cross Country Championship will be in action.
For Superior High School, Tayler McMeekin will compete in her third straight championship, as the Junior has made it every year she’s been eligible.
On Friday morning, Superior High School had a celebration of McMeekin’s accomplishments.
“The school is so supportive, I walk in the halls and everybody’s like, ‘Congratulations, good luck’ and I feel really loved,” said McMeekin.
In Solon Springs, they’re coming off their 7th conference title in the past eight years.
Every year since 2017, Solon Springs/Northwood has either sent the full team or individual representatives to state.
Last year they took seventh, their highest finish at state yet. They race Saturday at noon.
