The Superior volleyball team served up their first practice of the season on Monday.
The Spartans welcomed back just three returners to a 30 girl roster, so building team chemistry was at the forefront of the practice objectives.
“They did a lot of open gyms together in the summer, so they are getting their team chemistry together. The 23rd is the jamboree so their is some things we can try there. Since we can mix it up because it doesn’t count,” said head coach Brenda Pluntz.
“We had some summer league games where we played and got to bond, we played really well together. We have a lot of new girls here so I am just excited to see how the season goes,” added Junior Carlie Lohman
Superior is looking to flip the script and improve on their overall record of 6-12 last year.
Their season opener is August 23rd, against Wausau West.
