Three late goals lift UWS women's hockey past Northland

The University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) women’s hockey team scored three late goals to roll past Northland College 3-0 at Wessman Arena in Superior Friday night.

Emma Booth got the offense going for the Yellowjackets scoring in the final minute of the second period to lead 1-0. Then 30 seconds into the third period Kaylin Garner made it 2-0 on the power play. Kailey Swerhun scored their final goal to earn the 3-0 win.

Earning the shutout was UWS netminder Rose Beeman tallying 32 saves. Northland goalie Corrin Hanson recorded 36 saves.

The Yellowjackets (7-16-1) and LumberJills (5-18-1) will close out their regular seasons in this series finale Saturday at 2 p.m. back at Wessman Arena.
