Many professional sports teams have been dealing with free agency, trades and more for a few weeks and the Minnesota Timberwolves just throw their hats in the ring. The Timberwolves and all-star guard Anthony Edwards have agreed to a five-year max rookie contract extension, worth up to $260 million.
The number #1 pick in the 2020 draft, Edwards has established himself in the league as a force to be reckoned with.
After finishing up his third season in the game, he averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. He is also the only NBA player with 1,500 points and 100 steals in each of the past two seasons.
