Trio of Greyhounds announce collegiate commitments
On Tuesday three Duluth East Greyhounds made their spring dreams come true signing their National Letters of Intent to play collegiate baseball.
One of the trio was Joe Nick who will be keeping his talents local heading to the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
“Baseball has always been a big part of my life. Obviously I’ve always wanted to play college baseball and I’m grateful for the opportunity to stay home and play,” Nick said.
Dylan Cole will also stay in the Northland, committing to play Division II ball for the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Bulldogs.
Bjorn Lind will be off to join their conference rivals at Augustana University.
“Every year that we have guys that go play college baseball it’s always exciting. It’s exciting to see what they do from here on out. Being able to see Dylan go play with his brother at UMD and have Joe going close to UWS, it’s really cool,” Chris Siljendahl said, head coach of Duluth East baseball.
