Two Harbor’s own Tate Nelson announced his decision to commit to the University of Minnesota Duluth football team on Friday.

Nelson was considered a weapon in the Two Harbors’ backfield, he tallied 792 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns with the Agates in the 2023-24 season, in addition to his overall over 330 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, with only 10 catches.

The Agate junior was crowned Minnesota state track and field champion in both the 100m dash and long jump in 2023.
Nelson is set to graduate in 2025, and will head to play under Curt Wiese for the 2025-26 season.
