Two players from the UMD Men’s hockey team were honored with NCHC Player of the Week Awards on Monday.
We’ll start between the pipes, as Zach Stejaskal was named the NCHC Co-Goaltender of the week, sharing the title with Ludvig Persson from North Dakota.
Stejskal notched the first shutout of his career on Friday night against Bemidji State and posted 49 total saves over the weekend.
Matthew Perkins was the other Bulldog to win an award, as he claimed the NCHC Rookie of the week honors after a three point performance for him on Friday night, including his first collegiate goal.
The Bulldogs head east to Ithaca, New York to take on Cornell for a Friday and Saturday duel with the Big Red.
