UMD baseball powers past Northern State.
The UMD baseball team flexed their muscle with an 8-6 win over Northern State on Saturday.
After a 2-0 deficit in just the top half of the first, UMD clawed back, as Gabe Richardson roped a double into the gap to put the Bulldogs on the board.
In the bottom of the second, Trevor Gustafson hit a long home run to tie the game up at 2-2.
Northern State would later regain the lead, but UMD’s offense couldn’t be stopped in the late stages of the game, putting two big runs in the bottom of the 6th and then adding an insurance run in the bottom of the 7th.
UMD baseball is back in action against Northern State on Sunday, with first pitch at 11 a.m.
