UMD baseball was in a battle with Northern State on Sunday, but ultimately split the doubleheader and won the series, falling 10-7 in game one and winning 11-8 in game two.

In game one, the UMD offense would strike first, however, they would go quiet for the next four innings. This allowed Northern State to tack on eight runs unanswered, before UMD could respond at all.

In game two, the game’s script was flipped. In the first inning, UMD tallied five runs to jump out to an early lead, where they would build on later. Despite Northern State cutting the Bulldog lead down, UMD would flip the switch once more and put up six more runs.

UMD heads to St. Cloud to face the Huskies on Wednesday.
