UMD cross country receives preseason rankings along with athletes to watch
UMD cross country’s season is yet to be up and running, with their first meets in a few weeks, however, their preseason rankings have been released.
The UMD men’s cross country team is slated to finish 3rd in the NSIC, after squeaking out a second round finish last season and an eighth place finish at the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship.
Jack van Kempen was tabbed as an athlete to watch, as he finished as the Bulldogs’ first overall runner in five out of their six competitions.
The women’s team was selected sixth, and Franny Seidel was named an athlete to watch.
Seidel was the second fastest finisher for the bulldogs in their final two events of the year.
