UMD football bolsters playoff resume with win over Mankato
The UMD Football team needed a win desperately, and they traveled to Mankato to do just that.
The UMD football team did themselves a favor on Saturday, as they dominated Mankato en route to a 33-21 win on the road.
With just 10 completions, Kyle Walljasper still managed to throw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns through the air, as he also added one by the ground attack as well.
DaShaun Ames had a massive day, as he hauled in one touchdown and took another to the end zone off an end around run.
The Bulldogs lost control of their own destiny with a loss two weeks ago, but this win puts them in better position to make the postseason.
The team will decide whether or not they are in the playoffs at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
