A new face has joined UMD football’s coaching staff, coming from the Division I ranks to help men in the trenches.

Austan Davis has been hired as the Bulldogs new offensive line coach. Davis was previously with Temple since 2023 where he was an offensive analyst and contributed to the development of quarterbacks and tight ends, as well as the offensive game plan.

Davis helped develop two All-AAC offensive line selections and contributed to a top-30 ranking in both passing offense and sacks allowed. Before Temple, Davis coached at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he was the running backs coach.

At Midwestern state, Davis was an outstanding lineman and three year captain.
