UMD football locks down head coach Curt Wiese with multi-year extension
The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has locked down longtime Bulldog boss Curt Wiese.
UMD announced on Tuesday that they extended their head football coach’s contract through the 2028-2029 season.
Wiese is entering his 17th year with the program, and 13th as head coach. During his tenure, he has led the Bulldogs to a 97-23 overall record. Wiese, who started his coaching career at Marietta College (2006-2007), recorded his 100th career win last season and currently sits at 106.
With him involved in the program, the Bulldogs have won seven Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division titles, two overall NSIC championships, and made four NCAA DII playoff appearances.
