UMD football looking to avenge stunning loss

A main emphasis of this years UMD football season was to not let other teams decide their fate.

However, a 30-29 loss on Saturday to Minnesota State Moorhead has put them right back where they were last year. However, their plan to get back on track is already outlined.

“A lot of people had their head down, a lot of teammates were just going over, but there’s a lot of season left, it’s week two, going on to week three,” said Junior wide receiver DaShaun Ames. “So we had a lot of stuff going on and people were just telling people to get their chin up and that we got a lot of time left.”

“We’re gonna learn from that, we’re gonna move on and we felt Sunday afternoon after watching the film that we wouldn’t go back and change a lot of what we did game plan wise. We just didn’t execute when we needed to,” said Curt Wiese, UMD’s head coach.

The now 1-1 Bulldogs will look to erase last weekends loss with a bounce back win this Saturday, when they head to Bismarck, North Dakota to take on the University of Mary.
