UMD football feeling down but not out & ready to rebound against Northern State
On October 5th, the University of Minnesota Duluth football team suffered a tough 28-24 loss to #25 Augustana. But now they must look forward to regrouping and rebound for this weekend home test against Northern State.
“I think we just have to focus on what’s ahead of us. Obviously, we can’t change what’s happened. Our record’s probably not the best right now. Playoff hopes aren’t the best either, but we just focus on trying to win this week and just having a good season.” said Bulldog junior quarterback Kyle Walljasper.
“I mean, we’re an old football team. These guys understand what was at hand, but they also understand that we’re not only, we’re not even halfway through our season right now. So, we got a lot to play for yet. Number one pride in this program. Secondly, we still have a top percentage. So, one week at a time, as we all know, and across the country in all three levels, there’s a lot of upsets happening. So, it’s one week at a time for us. We’ll see where we’re at the end of the year.” said Bulldog head coach Curt Wiese.
UMD will host Northern State at 12PM on Saturday October 12th at Malosky Stadium in Duluth.
