UMD football players named DII All-American honorable mentions
The winter sports season being in full swing didn’t stop two members of the UMD football team from making a splash on the national stage.
Offensive lineman Treyvon Cahalan and tight end Sam Pitz were named Don Hansen honorable mention All-Americans.
The duo have enjoyed many awards this offseason, and for good reason. Cahalan played a big role in UMD’s rushing offense, which led the NSIC and ranked seventh in the nation.
Pitz caught nine touchdowns this year, more than the rest of his career combined, and averaged 14 yards per reception.
