UMD football pulls off gutsy win in final minute of play
A reversal of fortune was in the cards for UMD football, as they finally had a positive outcome in the final minute of the game, beating Winona State 42-38.
Kyler Walljasper was a big reason for UMD’s success, as the signal caller accounted for 30 points and 420 total offensive yards, including the game winning touchdown with just over 30 seconds left on the clock.
UMD’s defense struggled specifically in the second quarter, allowing 21 points to Winona State.
UMD out gained WSU on offense 535-393, including a 322-170 advantage on the ground.
The Bulldogs stay on the road to take on Concordia St. Paul next Saturday at noon.
