UMD football rebounds with win over Minot
After being picked in the preseason as the favorites to win the conference, the University of Minnesota Duluth football team suffered a mid-season three-game losing streak. In their Saturday matchup against Minot State, the Bulldogs hoped to even their record out in their second-to-last home game of the season.
Both teams left the scoreboard empty until the end of the first quarter, when Kyle Walljasper sent the ball to Alex Riley who put the Bulldogs on the board. Walljasper returns in the second quarter held UMD rack in two more touchdowns, and with another pair split between the final two quarters, UMD found redemption in a 35-21 win over the Beavers.
UMD will return on Saturday November 2nd to battle Winona State in Winona at 1PM.
